What you said about the AS SEEN ON TV products is true, they cost very little to produce and they sell them for a considerable markup, but that is what making a profit is all about. If a company is not supposed to make a profit on an item they sell, then we would still be making what we want ourselves. Go into almost any store and the same is true. A nearby car dealership has a plastic trim piece that they pay $0.13 for, they sell that item for $16.50. Now that is an unreasonable markup......

I got a call similar to these but form a man named Jim Jackson at 855-546-7300.  The only reason I am thinking it is related to these numbers is because I had previously been getting calls from the \"John Smiths\" with the very thick indian accents!  This man sounded white, older, deep threatening voice.  When I answered and he asked for me, I said she is not here, can I take a message, he told me to tell \"Ash\" that the county is comming after me, he repeated my address and said that he needed a call back immediatly, however he wouldnt tell me where he was calling from or regarding what, just said he was the Lead Investigator, and somthing else.  It did shake me up, but I have heard about collection companys doing this in the past.. So, if anyone has had a man named JIM JACKSON, who called on a private number, but told me I could call back at 855-546-7300.  Please let me know for some piece of mind, then I will call him back, as well as file a police report.  Thanks.

I answered and said a few hellos.  They hung up without saying anything.  Call lasted about 17 seconds.

  4. Louie says:

If you are a former student or have contributed to the University of the Pacific then they will diligently try to contact you for more donations. Given that the students do call, and knowing the unorthodox schedule of a typical college student, I wouldn\'t be surprised if you received a call after typical business hours and/or on weekends. But they are like the blood bank-- after giving once, they hound you to keep on giving. I\'m sure there is a way to request that your information be taken off the list as long as you speak to the right person.

  5. Frederick says:

Just said nothing, then hung up...
